There were several excellent Hw2s (although none received a perfect score). I selected from amongst these one to post as a solution. My only quibble on this solution is that the number of living descendants operation did not work for the case of a graph with two node, both living, and a child relationship between them. The only changes I made to the solution was to convert the names listed in the homework files to SJSU student.
