WINDOWS:
HOW TO LOG INTO WINDOWS SIDE
When you want to log into any of the desktops that are in the SCIENCE domain (Science 311 lab computers, the desktop in your MH211 office, the cart laptops in classrooms), just enter your username and password. Make sure the DOMAIN is SCIENCE.
Or you can append “@cs” to your username and then just enter your password. When you append "@cs" with your username, the DOMAIN dropdown list grays out because "@cs" already specifies your domain.
Example:
Login: example@cs
Password: ******
NOTE: You will be prompted to change your password when you log in the first time into Windows.
HOW TO CHANGE YOUR WINDOWS PASSWORD AFTER FIRST TIME LOGIN
NOTE: Your Windows account is separate from your UNIX account, so your Windows password is not the same as your UNIX password. When you later change your UNIX password, it can be different from your Windows password.
HOW TO LOCK YOUR COMPUTER
You can manually lock your computer every time you leave your office:
You can also auto-lock your computer by setting a screensaver:
HOW TO ADD A PRINTER ON WINDOWS
There is one printer to add: MH211. You will need to add the printer to your desktop to use it.
