The Observation Pattern

At 7:30 PM Nurse Smith takes Patient Jones' temperature. It's 100 degrees Fahrenheit. At 7:35 PM Smith draws blood from Jones and determines his blood type to be A.

On June 5 Jones, an analyst for Suisse Bank, records the value of one share of IBM stock to be $1200.

On April 20 Astronomer Smith classifies a newly discovered star to be a red dwarf.

These and other examples fit the Observation Pattern, which employs some of the previous pattern.
