Start MSDS. Also start word processor document (Word or WordPad) capable of containing an image. Type your name and your CS46A instructor's name at the top of this document.

1. Maximize the MSDS main window. Close all toolbars, the workspace window, and the output window. Press the "Print Scrn" key. Now switch to the word processor. Select Paste from the Edit menu. You should see a snapshot of MSDS in your word processor document.

2. Open all eleven toolbars. Rearrange the MSDS main window so that the toolbars are docked along the bottom of the window and the output and workspace window are docked along the top. Change the MSDS main window to its resizable state. You should be able to see the desktop behind the MSDS window. Press the "Print Scrn" key while holding down the "Alt" key. Now switch to the word processor. Insert a few blank lines under the image of the empty MSDS window. Select Paste from the Edit menu. You should see a snapshot of MSDS in your word processor document, but without the desktop in the background. The "Print Scrn" key takes a snapshot of the whole desktop, while the "Print Scrn" key modified by the "Alt" key takes a snapshot of only the active window.

Obtain a printout of your document (select "Print" from the word processor's File menu) and turn it in.
