Programmer/Analyst

 

 

Job Summary:

 

Providing users with internal SharePoint, Agile and Expandable support. Responsible for creating and introducing automation wherever possible in connection with the SharePoint, Agile and Expandable databases. General validation with the upgrade of SharePoint, Agile and Expandable.

 

Primary Job Duties (essential):

 

1.     Plans, designs, develops, implements, and administers SharePoint enabled websites,including the prototyping of proposed solutions and the design and construction of the final solution.  Assists with the development and maintenance of InfoPath forms as related to SharePoint.

2.     Plans, designs, develops, implements, and administers K2 workflows integrated into SharePoint enabled websites.  Provides technical expertise in the use of SharePoint concepts to include document management, workflow, records management, and integration with other Microsoft applications.  Provides operations support for SharePoint sites in the production environment, including planning and implementation of backup and recovery strategies.

3.     Add and Remove Users from Expandable databases, including SQL External security for user custom reporting, and periodically reviewing Users and Rights.  Perform Expandable SQL database management, insuring nightly Backups & Jobs run OK.

4.     Add and Remove Users from Agile databases and periodically reviewing Users and Rights.  Customizing Agile as needed for smoother workflow of ECOs, ECRs, CLCA and Knowledge Share database.

5.     General training for new users of Expandable, Agile and Custom reports.

6.     Testing and reporting software defects or enhancements to Agile and Expandable.

7.     Validate Agile ECO and BOM structure changes upload to Expandable accurately. 

8.     Continuing to develop and update custom reports and programs to identify materials, cost, manufacturing trends, problems and fixes for Purchasing, Planning, Quality Control, Marketing, Accounting, Engineering, Receiving, Stockroom and Shipping. Enabling Users to gather information from Expandable and Agile as needed to better perform their job duties. This involves writing Crystal Reports, programming with Visual Basic using Excel tools and SQL scripts, and writing WinBatch programs.

9.     Insuring Expandable upgrades and current Custom reports and Programs work accurately.

10.  Overseeing 3rd party applications work accurately and securely with Expandable (Bar coding, E2 Alerts, Web Store).

11.  Analyzing new tasks to be done with the most efficient software tools. Could it be done with the current software we use, or review other software possibilities.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Secondary Job Duties (none essential):

 

1.       Teaching users how to use Excel and Office tools more efficiently.

2.       Assisting in major client software upgrades.

3.       Helping Citrix users with any Agile or Expandable related problems.

4.       Assisting any other IT roles if needed.

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

Requires an AA degree in Computer Science plus two (2) years related experience or equivalent combination of training and experience.
