The UNIX Systems Administrarion Certificate Program is designed to:

• provide a technical component to complement an MIS degree
• broaden the skills of thise who have training in software development or engineering
• provide new skills for persons seeking to enter a new profession

T W O   L E V E L   P R O G R A M

Level I

A Level 1 certificate will train you in the basics of UNIX Systems administration. You will have a solid background in the UNIX system, utilities, file system management, configuration, and basic networking.

Level II

A level II certificate will give you the advanced knowledge to go on to develop Perl and shell scripts, perform network systems management, maintain security, and learn how to administer specialized systems such as Web servers, NIS, e-mail, advanced UNIX systems administration skills, systems and network performance tuning.
