T H E   E N V I R O N M E N T

All classes are offered in a workshop/lab style. Each student has access to a UNIX workstation in the classroom. This gives each student "hands on" experience carrying out UNIX systems administration tasks.

The program is taught within the Computer Science Department where students from all over the world train for careers in Silicon Valley.

Students in the program are eligible to compete for internships at Silicon Valley companies.

San José State University

San Jose State University is Silicon Valley's Metropolitan University. In the downtown area of San Jose, it is centrally located to the light rail system, busses and all the major highways in the South Bay.

The university is culturally diverse with large numbers of students from all over the world. The Computer Science Department has a faculty of over 60 members.
