Questions: Which courses are taught only on demand?
Answer:
CS 155, CS 156, CS 159, CS 173, CS 216, CS 253, CS 256, and CS 262. These will be offered
provided that there is sufficient demand and a qualified instructor is available. The process for having one of these courses taught is for interested
students to sign a petition and submit it to the department early in the
semester prior to when the course is desired. The petition should have as many
signatures as possible on it; 25 signatures is a good number to get for an undergraduate
course, or 15 signatures for a graduate course. However, under special circumstances
petitions with fewer signatures may be also considered.
