• According to ScholarGPS, in the field of information security, my "lifetime" ranking is #8 (as of January 2025). I'm not sure how they came up with this ranking, but it looks good to me!

• The 2nd edition of my machine learning textbook is now available. It makes a wonderful gift for any occasion.

• The much-anticipated 3rd edition of my information security textbook is now available.

• What kinds of projects do my students do? I'm glad you asked. Most of my students work on security-related projects, typically involving machine learning. My masters students' projects (titles and completed reports) can be found here.

• What kind of teacher am I? I've posted selected student comments from some of my teaching evaluations. Of course, you can also check out my reviews at MyProfessorIsAJerk.com (or something like that). Personally, I never look at those kinds of sites, for fear of what I might find.
