The formula to compute your final score is as follows (same as advertised on the "green sheet").
Quizzes: 10%
Count 1 point for each quiz. (Note, this provides for a possible 11 points).
Assignments: 10%
Add all assignment scores, divide by number of assignments.
Midterm #1: 20%
Multiply M1 score by 25/30.
Midterm #2: 20%
Multiply M2 score by 25/(number of Q's).
Final Exam: 40%
Multiply Final Exam score by 40/(number of Q's).
Add them up. Total possible is 100%.
Although the exact determination of letter grade will be not be determined until the course completions, and will be adjusted per your second midterm, final exam, quizzes, and assignment score, the following should provide a rough approximation to help you determine what grade you have earned thus far.
Midterm Exam #1 letter grade approximations are only a guide to your progress. Final grade determination is subject to adjustments from other components.
A: 25 points, and higher
B: 22 and higher
C: 17 and higher
D: 0 and higher
F: N/A
Again, the final grade determination may change. Also Plus/minus designations for letter grade divisions will be determined after the final exam.
Please note that your final letter grade will suffer if you do fail to attend quizzes or if you fail to turn in assignments.
