Your instructor uses these notes as a guide for lectures. They are available here as a courtesy to attendees. Please be aware that some lectures have written notes and others don't. Also some notes are more detailed than others.
Typically, the notes cover one, two, or more lectures depending on the material's difficulty. Sometimes the notes may include pointers to web-sites or citations to other readings that may get mentioned during lectures.
Ultimately, to know what course material you are responsible for, please refer to the Topics Calendar, or better yet, attend the lectures to know what is covered.
